Sometimes we take life for granted

Sometimes people ask me if I ever worried about my children being born with extra toes or fingers and I'm like, I would only pray for my kids to be born safe and alive. I cannot imagine what it's like for parents whom have kids with special needs go through. I was crying every single night when Yusuf was in the NICU. 10 days straight, to be exact. I still worry about him now. I'd check if my kids are sleeping well and if they are breathing in the middle of the night. Yes, I am that psycho.

Anywho, I really hope that I am able to help other kids in any way I can and I hope my kids will do too.

Not every child is born lucky.

Invited the durian monsters over on Saturday night

Shu decided to get some Musang King for Simon and Wani. It was my first time trying out Durian. Not exactly what I had in mind but the smell did not bother me one bit. Wani had been wanting Yong Tau Foo so Shu got some for dinner and Durian later. It was fun.

On Sunday, we attended my one and only cousin's engagement ceremony. Yes, Anas Bananas is on his way to settling down. I was so excited because it turns out, I'm the only one who's never met his now fiancé.

After that, we headed over to Cyberjaya for food. The kids wanted to go to the playground so we let them have a go and then we headed home.

My sister brought this to my attention

There are people out there who built a place for kids whom are not able to function like a regular person and are bedridden. These kids are either orphans or dumped by their parents or have families who cannot afford to take care of them.

It makes me so sad because I always try to do everything I can for my children and I push myself to always be there for whatever they need and not everyone is able to do that or is given that opportunity or chance.

Anyways, some of the kids have died from really bad seizure and currently they need help to renovate their toilets in order to make them more wheelchair friendly. Some have fallen and injured themselves in there.

My in-laws and my sister in-laws and their family were in Europe recently

They got us souvenirs but what I am actually excited about are these

I now have 2 kgs of Italian brown rice for making risotto. I've never cooked risotto before so this could be a good time to try :)
