Do......Ray..........Egon............

*Spoilers ahead* DO NOT READ if you are planning to watch Ghostbusters Afterlife

Ray.........when someone asks you if you're a God, you say YES!

He definitely did NOT make that same mistake this time around 😉

We decided to take the kids out for a movie after all. People are still out of town on holiday or whatever.......the cinemas are still empty.........it was a good plan.

Yusuf had been wanting to watch Ghostbusters Afterlife since he first saw the trailer to the movie. I saw the trailer but at the time I didn't think much of it. I just thought they had to save the Ghostbusters franchise from the last disastrous women-based cast. To me, the Ghostbusters will and always be Dr. Egon Spengler, Dr. Ray Stantz and Dr. Peter Venkman.

Anywho, I am so glad we went to see the new movie because I was on a roller-coaster ride of emotions from the first sight of the P.K.E. meter to the ghost trap all the way till the end of the movie when we saw the ghost of Dr. Egon Spengler. And at that very moment when I saw a glimpse of the Ecto-1, I was like "NO FREAKING WAY!!!!!!"  and then, somewhere along the movie, the iconic siren sound came on and my heart stopped beating for a brief moment!

When Phoebe made the ONE phone call and she decided to call the "number on the screen" from the Ghostbusters ad from the 80s , I kinda thought it made sense to have Dr. Ray Stantz at the other end picking up the phone because it started with Spengler and Stantz after all. I was screaming and crying at the same time. Then, the scene where backup arrived and more proton pack streams were shot towards Gozer, it was Stantz, Venkman and Zeddemore!

I must say, McKenna Grace's performance in this movie was top notch! She was like a little girl version of Egon Spengler and it wasn't just because of her hair and glasses. There were other stuff in the movie like the metal helmet with wires which was placed on Louis Tully, the 80s pulse machine. OMGOMGOMG! Janine was the first one to appear in the movie chronology and was again screaming and crying at the same time!

And then, when the movie ended I saw the name Sigourney Weaver and I was like "wait, when??......." and there was a scene where Dana was doing that electric shock psychic test on Venkman.

I was NOT DISAPPOINTED at all by the movie and I highly recommended it to Eeno and my mom. The kids were super psyched throughout the entire movie. It was good.

Last minute overnight trip to Malacca

Shu needed a different environment to think and clear his mind and I was missing the snakes so he decided to take us on a quick overnight trip to Malacca. There's my favourite Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary to see snakes and reptiles. There's loads of museums to visit. Not to forget that ginormous replica of the Portuguese Nau in the middle of Dataran Pahlawan.

Shu's original plan was to stay right in the middle of town so that we can check in to the hotel and then walk around. Turns out the hotel he originally booked did not have a connecting room so we switched hotels. It was slightly away from the town center but I kinda like it that way.

This is the replica model of The Sabar T. 82! The original can be found in Kampung Budaya Muzium Terengganu ^_^

We parked at the mall area since there was a valet parking service. Everything was just walking distance from there. He told the kids that everyone HAD to walk coz we were going up the St. Paul's Hill. They had no clue what was happening but everyone bucked up and followed through. It was great!

We checked in to Double Tree by Hilton Melaka for the night..........

The next day, we decided to check out early so that we can go explore a little more. Shu wanted to go to the beach in Kelebang. We found horses...........and coffee!

It was a short trip but it was a good trip. We did what we wanted to do. Explored. I would probably return to visit the other museums I didn't get to visit but at least I got to see them baby red-tailed green rat snakes who were born in October!!!! OMG! THEY WERE SO CUTE!!!!!!
