Maid experiences

We had a maid when Yusuf was a few months old. She was young. She took care of Yusuf really well and I almost trusted her. After Yusuf turned one, I started a part-time job. It was a bit hectic but we got it all worked out.

One Friday evening, Shu took Yusuf and I out to dinner. When we got home, we discovered that the grill was locked but the front door wasn't. The maid's slippers were gone. We got into the house and checked her room and we found her cupboard empty.

We kinda anticipated it to happen. It was just a matter of time. She left her 3-month-expired passport. We kinda know where to find her but we just didn't bother. She didn't even have a permit.

We did apply for a working permit for her but thanks to bureaucracy, our application was pending. It had been pending for a long while. Then again,if she did have a permit and we made a police report,we would have gotten a ticket for letting our employee run off.

Kinda stupid considering the fact that we did go through quite an ordeal trying to get a damn house maid to begin with so why the hell would we "allow" her to run off? Then again, since she did not have a permit nor a valid passport, she is as good as dead out there anyways. It's just a matter of paying the authorities to let her stay in the country.

I don't get how the law works when it makes no sense.

Anywho,we attempted to get another maid a few months after Ali Imran was born. She turned out to be a liar and an asshole. We got rid of her almost immediately and asked for a refund. She ran off in the custody of her local agent.

I am NEVER letting my sons be taken care of or raised by or with the help of maids. Other than Kak Yah, they are all liars.
