hantaran

It is a concept.A very cultural ritual.About giving and recieving things.Related to marriage.It took me so long to fully understand what it is about.Not that I have.I'm just trying to get this all through alive with Shu.

We have been listing and re-listing and re-listing what we want and need for the hantaran.It's weird coz I am not the type of person to want things.The things that I want cannot be bought.I do not shop.I do.Not as much as a regular person would.I am the worst person to go shopping with.I can never answer the question "What do you want?" whenever we're at a shopping mall.

Anywho,I have about 1 or 2 items short from the hantaran list and I seriously cannot think of anything I want.I know that I'd like to get a laptop for Shu.That's the only thing I really want to do now.And I want Kecik to snap out of his miseries and pain and just be himself again.The crazy kitten he used to be........

The one person I shouldn't ask regarding this whole hantaran issue would be my sister but I do talk to her about it anyways coz I like talking to her.Right now is not the best time.She's going through a major sugar rush and she keeps asking things she doesn't wanna know.

My only concern right now is the period of time I have to go through before marrying Shu.I doubt if I can survive.I have no idea how people can go on being in a relationship while living so far away from eachother.I can't.My life have shifted so much that I don't know what it's like anymore to wake up knowing that I won't see him the moment I step out from my room.

It's been a long 2 months and I have gotten used to waking up every single day to seeing Shu every morning.I can't imagine what the next 4 months is going to be like since we've been doing loads of stuff together all this time.Seriously,it could kill me and if I don't buck up,I might just die halfway through the semester.

On the brighter side of things,Shu's final word is that we will wed latest by November 2009 (INSYALLAH-eventhough we'd really wanna get it done by October!).All the preparations are halfway done although I know that I am missing some things in the checklist like a photographer and make-up artist and probably a hairstylist.Haha!

Mum called the tailor who is doing/has done my akad nikah outfit.Shu said that our wedding rings are ready.We probably need to alter it a little bit or so.I need to stay healthy and injured-free.I need to go over my workout routine!This current one could kill me within a matter of days!

We still have a matter of months to get things ready.Aunty Intan is helping out with the door gifts.Mum has paid the downpayment for the hall rental for the reception next year!

P.S.:Eno-san (Cheryl) so sorry we couldn't wait for you guys to come home.I'm still gonna make my sister wear that chicken outfit!Hahahahahahaaaa!!!!!

Shu had been wanting to cook me grilled stingray since he got back from Terengganu last week.We finally went to the market not so early this morning and got the fish.Mum was out with my sister.Kak Yah was out.Azim was upstairs with his friends.Ash was in the lounge watching TV.I have no idea where my dad went.The only thing my mum told Shu and I was "Don't set my kitchen on fire!" before she left.We didn't.It's clean and neat.Just the way she left it.

I helped Shu grill the fish while he made the sauce.We had a hard time improvising coz we ran out of vinegar.Halfway through,I made Shu some omelette.We made a pretty good team.When everything was cooked and cleaned,mum got home.She always gets annoyed coz we'd usually cook just enough for the both of us.It is still under experimental level.We wouldn't wanna cause any harm to other people IF anything went wrong.

Now we know that between Shu and I,he is definitely a better cook.I'll stick to desserts.Hahahaha!

We got to Putrajaya at about 11:50am.That would be 10 minutes earlier than when we were there last month!Hahaha!We were actually looking for the flamingos which were at the wetland park on the other side.

Of course,we picked the perfect time of the day to be in the middle of the park.The sun was scorching hot and I could hardly open my eyes.The mosquito bites were stinging and the giant ants looked like they could kill a person!

We had fun though.I never thought I'd see and hear the flamingos.There were also a couple of mandarin ducks as well.Those looked like they were shoved aside coz they were just the minorities in the lake.Hahahahaha!

We got home in time for a badminton game.Now we are just extremely exhausted.We haven't even recovered from yesterday's exhaustion and we were at it again today.I would probably be the only one on the court diving on my knees and rolling around from left to right trying to save a shuttle :/

There are only 2 people in TTDI who would do the unexpected unexpectedly on an unexpected day......like today..........

Shu and I went cycling!The original plan was NOT to cycle but to fly the kite that Acap (Shu's mechanic friend) gave us.The outcome?A complete failure.There was no wind.Well,there was wind but not strong enough to hold the kite up.

Finally,we decided to just head home and play badminton in the alley like when we first started out a few months back.........
