The Color Shop,One Utama

Shu and I were supposed to meet up at the mall after my class for lunch today. We did but I just had to get my hair washed coz I was running late this morning and did not get to wash it this morning. So by the time Shu got to the mall,I told him I was getting my hair dried.

Here's the funny thing.I had 2 people working on my hair today. That was weird. That was the first time I went through something like that.It was pretty fun though.I don't mind getting my hair done at that shop again ^_^

I had too much time to kill earlier today coz all my classes were cut short due to various reasons so Shu and I basically hopped from one shop to another. We even got a free drink from Juice Works from the dude at the Creepy Door ;)

The lepak sessions today mostly consist of ideas for the upcoming gig.We were going through the pros and cons of the event as well as our wedding plans in between that. We've got some kool stuff in mind but we have yet to talk to Kamal and Ayie about it.

We are after all supposed to play at an event this 30th.

RadioEdit band update

Wahai kalian semua.Harap maklum bahawa RadioEdit akhirnya akan dapat gig sendiri.Walaubagaimanapun, dukacita dimaklumkan bahawa segala confirmation hanya akan di dapati selepas band meeting kami yang akan berlangsung ASAP.

Sekian.Terima kasih.

The adventures of Awang Goneng & Gedebeh

Woke up this morning.Got into a cab with Shu and headed over to Kajang to get his car coz he left it there since I picked him up after class on Thursday.Had breakfast at Alim Corner.Made a quick stop over at Mutiara Damansara.Got the good old Cookies N' Cream smoothie from Juice Works.Got one top while we were there.Headed home only to find out that we were locked out so we had lunch at Restoran Quali. Then, mum called to say that she and my siblings were also locked out so they hungout at our favorite mamak,Maulana. Then,my dad called to say that he's already at home so we can come home.

*sigh*

I have to stop sounding and possibly stop behaving like a cartoon/anime character.Especially when I'm about to introduce the band in public and stuff.I ALMOST screamed out "KERO!" or said "Hi!" the way Stitch (Lilo & Stitch) would say it.Damn!I know that Shu and Rashid and maybe my bandmates are used to it but I don't suppose other people expect me to do stuff like that :p

introducing the Monkey Dance by the Foxburrs

While Shu was stuck doing his FYP,he let me use his super awesome computer to play The Sims 3.Days just went by and before I could do anything,it's already Friday.

Update:Shu has no problems using the Pro E software anymore ;)

While I've been driving back and forth to Bangi after classes,I did learn some new roads to new places around UPM.And in the evenings when we get home,we'd head over to the park at my old house. We don't run anymore.Well,Shu would jog while I do some monkey dance.

We spent last night watching Bruno which almost killed us from laughing so hard.

Kecik has began to mark territories around the house by peeing at different places IN THE HOUSE.One morning before I left for class,he peed at the wall at the front door. After that, when Azim came home from school,Kecik peed on his school bag.The dude was superpissed.

Bedah is happy and fat,as usual.

Gemok aka Fei Mao is still herself.Daydreaming and getting weird dreams as she sleeps.Weirdo!

I think my spare part warranty has been long overdue. My right leg is hurting ever so badly especially when its cold.I have this vision of me losing my leg while I run in the park.

Anywho,Shu and I almost died of shock as we were walking home from the park one afternoon.Out of nowhere,a huge Retriever headed towards us and we weren't sure of what to do.Then,it turned out that it was just playing with the dog in one of the houses.

And then, there was this one time when we were at a pet store in Uptown Damansara,we were shocked to see a crocodile in an aquarium! It was a freakin' glass aquarium! When the reptile moved,it looked like it could easily break the glass. To make things worse, there were tiny tanks of white mice and hamsters placed on top on the aquarium with the crocodile!

awesomeness

I have found someone who shares the same point of view with me towards life.

Someone who wants to always be 18 and never grow up.
Someone who loves freedom and hates restrictions.
Someone who shares my interpretation of fame and glory.
Someone who hates lameness and rigidity and wants new things and changes as every second passes by.
Someone who wants to invent and experiment and is not afraid to ask the wrong questions.

Someone who may not say the darnest things the way I do but has a milder way of saying it.

That someone is the one I intend to spend the rest of my life with <3

Watching those kids performing solo with their acoustic guitars yesterday reminds me of myself when I was doing the whole songwriting thingy for the first time.I was alone and the only thing I had to convey my message across to the audience was my guitar.Well,at the time,I didn't even have my own guitar so I borrowed my dad's.

My songs would have sounded very high-school-ish and maybe it wouldn't have hit the point I was trying to get through to who ever. Some songs did but my audience were only those who hears me play live during practices and stuff at home.My songs never left the circle of people who knew me.

I am happy to know that there are so many channels to get your works known to the world now ^_^

Singing and songwriting should be just as important as everything else in life.

Indie Fest@Studio V,Rainforest,One Utama

We had our open mic today. We played 4 songs.Actually,we were told to play 3 songs but they started recording late so they told us to play another song. Our usual playlist line up would Wake Up,Maya,Mental and I Don't Live.We had a blast although we waited since 11am-ish,we performed at about 2pm.

The problem started with us trying to register and the organizers came late. Then,we finally registered and then the waiting began.Bittersweet were supposed to do a soundcheck but they took up almost an entire hour coz their 2nd guitarist came superlate. We had fun though listening and watching them jam.

Shu made sure that we were the first band to play the open mic coz Kamal starts work at about 2:30pm.We were rushing for time. Finally,Kamal called a colleague to cover him and he went to work at about 3pm.It was tiring but fun.

There were other music acts like a band of school boys who calls themselves Chain Letters (I think) and then 2 solo acoustic acts who were Arif and Justin.I think the sound system needed to be looked into a little more.Shu said that if we stood outside and listen to the performances, the sound was perfect.

Anywho, went home. Then,we went to Ammah's house for Deepavali like we do every year.It was Shu's first time celebrating Deepavali at someone's place. We had freshly cooked food which were AWESOME!Ammah had been sick so she couldn't cook. Her daughter,Sumitha did all the cooking for her today. The vadais are as awesome as ever. The tosai too ;)

Shu and I managed to rush over Ayumi's place for the open house.A lot of people have already gone home but we just sat and chatted and ate some more for a bit. Then,we headed home.

Looking forward to spending tomorrow just chilling with Shu.

CK Music,Jalan Imbi,KL

It was a long and funny journey to KL and back coz there was a horrible traffic jam but we finally got around to meeting Migo (the dude who's gonna do the track by track recording for us) and we finally went to the music store Kamal's been telling us about.I am so going to get those cables I've been wanting for so long!

Kamal told us a very scary tale that happened to him early before dawn of Friday morning. He witnessed someone getting stabbed over at BU's McD at Centrepoint. He said that some guy stole some other guy's laptop and that this other guy chased the thief and the thief stabbed him and drove off.Kamal was the one who called the ambulance and he said it took them 32 minutes to get to the injured dude.

There are shitloads of people at the place and noone saw or did anything?WTF?!And the dude got stabbed! From the back to the front and the knife went through his kidneys and came out the front!WTF?!

Anywho, tonight's jamming session went mad.Rashid actually tried playing the drum to Wake Up in a ska mode.WTF?!I kept missing cues and Kamal's guitar was too noisy.I almost tripped on the keyboard stand and instead of stepping on the distortion pedal,I stepped on the mic stand!WTF?!
