Oh No.......

The chickens have formed a pyramid!

This is exactly why I love watching children television with my kids.

My kids love Go Jetters and Safiyya would get all happy and jumping joy whenever  the theme song comes on.

I do sing a lot at home too. Anything from Broadway to Disney to whatever theme song that comes to mind.

When the kids are calm, I'd play the guitar and sing. After all, Safiyya's first lullaby was Plug In Baby :)

The Sweetest

Shu knows my struggle with lighting for makeup and especially when we travel, I'd be looking for a window area for the best natural lighting and stuff. Most of the time, I'd get by with my Muji mirror but sometimes, it gets tough. The other day, we were going around Ikea looking for a mirror for the bathroom downstairs that I have claimed to be mine. The one i wanted was out of stock so I had to get whatever that was available and improvise. A few days back, he received a package and it was a mirror with built in lights for my makeup application which he ordered earlier in the week. It's so awesome! Today, he hung up the mirror we got from ikea on the wall of the bathroom downstairs :) I love it so much because even though it hasn't been modified yet, he also changed the light bulb in that bathroom so I can see better ^_^

Girls outing

Today was pretty weird. My sister had been wanting to go makeup shopping with me for a while now and we finally decided to go today. Shu took the boys to Hamley's while Safiyya and I met up with Wani and Hamza at Sephora. Turns out, my mum was the one who picked up my sister and joined us on our first makeup shopping trip together.

My mum and my sister had never been to sephora so I basically showed them around a bit. Then, one of the staff there recognized me. He was my makeup artist on my wedding reception day 7 years ago. He was talking to my mum while Wani and I were swatching samples.

I introduced my mum to the glitter goodness from Stila and she went bonkers over it. I didn't have anything to buy coz I usually plan ahead before heading into sephora. My sister ended up wandering into Bobbi Brown and my mum ended up with 2 perfume bottles and a lipstick set from Smashbox.

After that, we were trying to find a nice place to eat but ended up having coffee instead because the lunch crowd was filling up fast. It's been a while since we went out like that. My sister is planning the next trip already.

Annoyed

Eversince moving here, I've come to realize many things. One of which is how hard moving is for me. I only moved to a different town, same state and my stress level is shooting up the roof. I cannot imagine what it's like for Simon having to move to a different country altogether.

I find that food here is difficult for me to like. I've tried a few options but I can't possibly rely on food trucks which only opens for dinner through supper. I've been cooking and so far, it's ok but not satisfying.

Omg, and the people here...... It's like, they cannot keep up with the developments around them. What is up with that?! I am calm and collected at home and most days within the neighborhood area. The moment I step out from the gates at the guard house, it's just madness.

It's been a hard few months for me trying to get out and getting to know the town area.

Yesterday was a bit tough for me

I was a bit tired when I woke up. Earlier than usual. Shu told me that the old man who worked at Yusuf's school (Pak Cik Ghazali) passed away on the day of the school concert.

It made me a little sad because when we first enrolled Yusuf, he was the first person we met. He took care of the gate area for people and kids going in and out of the school compound. He's a nice old man. He remembers the kids and whose cars to whose parents.

He was not around since a few weeks back. We were wondering what happened to him but never got around asking the other teachers. It turned out to be that he was sick and unconscious and he finally passed away.

A few nights back, I was having a hard time sleeping. Must have been a caffeine kick. I was thinking about everyone I knew whom had passed away. I was thinking how bad things got for some before they died. People can be evil.

Anywho, being here and now, living among people who are actually working hard, I began to realize that the coffee I drink every other day may be someone else's luxury price tag.

It sucks to know that shit is so bad that people are working so hard just to survive. Things like coffee can be luxurious. What the fuck am I complaining about?

Yusuf's Annual School Concert

Never thought I'd live to this day but we attended Yusuf's school concert today. I was so excited because the props and the stage was awesome. The background music was captivating and the costumes were colorful and vibrant and cute. The kids were all so cute. I must say, the teachers are very dedicated people. I'm so glad that we decided to enroll Yusuf in this school.
