A lot has happened over the weekend

And a lot of things have got me realized just how my priorities are not in order.

For starters, I have not been taking care of myself well. I don't eat well. I don't eat  when I'm supposed to eat.

Secondly, I did not make it to the mosque in time for the jenazah prayer. I should have. I was at Ili's house on Friday night. I got there in time as we saw the van coming from the hospital.

I need to prioritize things in my life. My husband and my kids are my top priorities but there are also other matters that needs to be important in life.

So I made it to the class yesterday morning. It's an Aqeedah class in English. Made some new friends. I plan to continue learning for my sake and for my kids' sake. Long story.

Religion and faith have been something I have been struggling with all my life. I have been learning and relearning trying to find some answers.

Aunty Nani passed away today

She is Ili's mum. I've known her since I was about 8. That's how long I've known Ili and her family.

I was just talking to Shu's sister about all the people I've known whom have passed away.

Not stopping yet

We spent a night over at Sunway Hotel Resort and Spa. The kids enjoyed the 5 hours we spent at Sunway Lagoon. Shu booked me a spa session in the evening. It was something I needed for a while. So glad I decided to go.

I am burnt and tanned. Shu is too..... Strange, considering how we reapplied the sun block lotion, we still managed to get burnt.

Before we left this morning, we managed to get some swimming done over at the hotel pool. I managed to do a few laps. Again.

Yusuf's 5th year birthday celebration

It wasn't much of a celebration, really. Ali Imran was sick when he got home from school on Friday. He was sick all weekend. And whatever he got extended to Shu and here I am today dealing with food poisoning :-/

Weather has not been good much for a day out and about at a theme park or a water park or even a swimming pool. Luckily, we decided not to throw a birthday party this year or it would have been chaotic.

We stayed home most of the weekend. Yusuf was occupied with his new gaming console. I know exactly what some people would say about this matter but I voted for the Switch as much as he wanted it :) so it was a win-win situation. He has his Mariokart game and Kirby will be released in March.

Anywho, Ali Imran is enjoying playschool so far. Some drama here and there but it just wouldn't be Ali Imran otherwise.

Safiyya is growing up too fast for me to keep up with. Climbing up stairs and stuff. She's teething but her appetite has not changed one bit. I spend most of my time in the playpen with her because I don't want her to go eat papers or pulling things from the cabinets or climbing up the stairs into the rooms.

World Game Museum @KLIA2

My husband told me that the dude he's been getting old school retro games from has a new project over at the airport we usually go to. It turns out, the dude teamed up with a partner to open up a game museum. We went ahead to check it out because it was recently opened.

Yusuf and I were blown away the moment we saw Kirby. Then, my husband tried out the VR on the PS4. He was soooo gonna scream. I think he played Rush of Blood. He said if he was playing the game at home he would have screamed :p

I'd probably go ahead and try it out whenever we visit next. Yusuf was happy playing Super Mario Brothers with this other kid because he was getting a bit scared of the spookiness of the game Shu was playing.

Damn, I like that Kirby plush!

Sometimes we take life for granted

Sometimes people ask me if I ever worried about my children being born with extra toes or fingers and I'm like, I would only pray for my kids to be born safe and alive. I cannot imagine what it's like for parents whom have kids with special needs go through. I was crying every single night when Yusuf was in the NICU. 10 days straight, to be exact. I still worry about him now. I'd check if my kids are sleeping well and if they are breathing in the middle of the night. Yes, I am that psycho.

Anywho, I really hope that I am able to help other kids in any way I can and I hope my kids will do too.

Not every child is born lucky.

Invited the durian monsters over on Saturday night

Shu decided to get some Musang King for Simon and Wani. It was my first time trying out Durian. Not exactly what I had in mind but the smell did not bother me one bit. Wani had been wanting Yong Tau Foo so Shu got some for dinner and Durian later. It was fun.

On Sunday, we attended my one and only cousin's engagement ceremony. Yes, Anas Bananas is on his way to settling down. I was so excited because it turns out, I'm the only one who's never met his now fiancé.

After that, we headed over to Cyberjaya for food. The kids wanted to go to the playground so we let them have a go and then we headed home.

My sister brought this to my attention

There are people out there who built a place for kids whom are not able to function like a regular person and are bedridden. These kids are either orphans or dumped by their parents or have families who cannot afford to take care of them.

It makes me so sad because I always try to do everything I can for my children and I push myself to always be there for whatever they need and not everyone is able to do that or is given that opportunity or chance.

Anyways, some of the kids have died from really bad seizure and currently they need help to renovate their toilets in order to make them more wheelchair friendly. Some have fallen and injured themselves in there.

Oh No.......

The chickens have formed a pyramid!

This is exactly why I love watching children television with my kids.

My kids love Go Jetters and Safiyya would get all happy and jumping joy whenever  the theme song comes on.

I do sing a lot at home too. Anything from Broadway to Disney to whatever theme song that comes to mind.

When the kids are calm, I'd play the guitar and sing. After all, Safiyya's first lullaby was Plug In Baby :)

The Sweetest

Shu knows my struggle with lighting for makeup and especially when we travel, I'd be looking for a window area for the best natural lighting and stuff. Most of the time, I'd get by with my Muji mirror but sometimes, it gets tough. The other day, we were going around Ikea looking for a mirror for the bathroom downstairs that I have claimed to be mine. The one i wanted was out of stock so I had to get whatever that was available and improvise. A few days back, he received a package and it was a mirror with built in lights for my makeup application which he ordered earlier in the week. It's so awesome! Today, he hung up the mirror we got from ikea on the wall of the bathroom downstairs :) I love it so much because even though it hasn't been modified yet, he also changed the light bulb in that bathroom so I can see better ^_^

Girls outing

Today was pretty weird. My sister had been wanting to go makeup shopping with me for a while now and we finally decided to go today. Shu took the boys to Hamley's while Safiyya and I met up with Wani and Hamza at Sephora. Turns out, my mum was the one who picked up my sister and joined us on our first makeup shopping trip together.

My mum and my sister had never been to sephora so I basically showed them around a bit. Then, one of the staff there recognized me. He was my makeup artist on my wedding reception day 7 years ago. He was talking to my mum while Wani and I were swatching samples.

I introduced my mum to the glitter goodness from Stila and she went bonkers over it. I didn't have anything to buy coz I usually plan ahead before heading into sephora. My sister ended up wandering into Bobbi Brown and my mum ended up with 2 perfume bottles and a lipstick set from Smashbox.

After that, we were trying to find a nice place to eat but ended up having coffee instead because the lunch crowd was filling up fast. It's been a while since we went out like that. My sister is planning the next trip already.

Annoyed

Eversince moving here, I've come to realize many things. One of which is how hard moving is for me. I only moved to a different town, same state and my stress level is shooting up the roof. I cannot imagine what it's like for Simon having to move to a different country altogether.

I find that food here is difficult for me to like. I've tried a few options but I can't possibly rely on food trucks which only opens for dinner through supper. I've been cooking and so far, it's ok but not satisfying.

Omg, and the people here...... It's like, they cannot keep up with the developments around them. What is up with that?! I am calm and collected at home and most days within the neighborhood area. The moment I step out from the gates at the guard house, it's just madness.

It's been a hard few months for me trying to get out and getting to know the town area.

Pusat Sains Negara

The boys were in need of something to do so we took them to the National Science Center :)
