Contour

Was talking to my husband while the kids were asleep and like always,we ended up talking about makeup. The term contouring came up and he said before I was well into this whole makeup world,the only contour he ever knew were the lines on maps :p

We got bored.........

Training or role playing..........or both........

Yusuf is always jumping in and out of characters. For now,he only responds to Optimus Prime and he calls Shu Bumblebee. With me,he sometimes becomes random dinosaurs.......sometimes a Tyrannosaurus Rex, sometimes the Indominous Rex, sometimes just a regular Velociraptor. 

I have a good mind to train him with a clicker :-p 

Just so that he'd follow orders :-p

What people don't know.......

My kids grow up on the road. Either in the car or hotels. Living in hotels can be tiring and boring despite having clean towels everyday and having people clean up the room for you. Room service tends to get annoying. Tv channels suck. Swimming is refreshing but not when it rains everyday.
At the end of the day,it's still best being home. Our own home.

The push I needed to writing songs........

I finally told my husband......

That I wanted to shop at this particular store and he took me there. Our conversation after shopping was:-

Me: Heh......I thought I was gonna do a lot more damage......

Husband: I know. I was expecting more.....

Long ago......

Before we were married,Shu and I went to Petrosains in KLCC. That was the first time we discovered Dino Trek. Years later,we tried to find that same exhibition for Yusuf to see but they moved to Sarawak.

This year,we discovered that the exhibition was held in Terengganu. Haha! What a way to kill time!

My kids love dinosaurs and so do their cousins :)

We were on a hunt for some shoes (for my husband). Our first stop was Goodfellas over in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. Not cheap but if you really are into collector shoes,it's a good place to look. Also, if you are someone with big feet,it's a good place to go. No women US size 6 there. Maybe just 1 or 2 pairs.

Anywho,to kill time and avoid massive crowds and traffic,we found ourselves in KL. Avenue K,to be exact. It's always the perfect place to be since they have valet parking services. There is a Muji store there. And there is my little coffee pitstop,Juan Valdez Coffee. Yusuf has his Dinoscovery thingy to do. And,I do not mind the Sephora store there.

So there we were,exiting the Dinoscovery for like the 4th time. I saw a glimpse of something something over at the artsy side. Some stalls and some random grass plains and the stairs where people tend to hang out from the 3rd floor all the way up to the 4th.

We found a stall with a sign that said Star Wars Fanboys Malaysia. There were t-shirts of Deadpool,GoT,Black Masked Rider,The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and of course, Star Wars........and some aprons. And there were plush bags,beanies,toys,cookie jars,magnets......tonnes of anything Star Wars.

And since Eid is around the corner,they had cookies and buttons (for baju melayu) and soaps and ice molds. Of course,I couldn't help myself when it comes to Chocolate Chip Cookies :D That spelled festive right there!

Singing in the car

Some of the best things to do since we do spend most of our time on the road. So my husband was singing something like "andai diberikan emas permata,ku pilih senyuman mu" and my reply was "I can move mountains,I can work a miracle......keep you like an oath,May nothing but death do us part....."

Later on,my husband got sleepy so I sang "Her name is Noel,I have a dream about her,She rings my bell,I got gym class in half an hour......" sounding like a chipmunk.

Traffic and slow moving vehicles tend to drive people nuts :p

Still on the topic of dealing with stupids.....

I've met and known many people who spoke about not giving crap about paying back their study loans when I was working. My initial thought was "hurmm,maybe they don't care much about their future. Oh well...." They said "the most that would happen is that we'd get blacklisted"

Of course,they didn't even bother checking what "getting blacklisted" meant. Years later,some discover that they are unable to leave the country. But who cares,right? It's not like you wanted that holiday overseas anyways.

Some discover that they finally found a house that they like but they don't have the money for the deposit coz unlike non-blacklisted people who'd need to pay up 10% up front,they have to come up with a 30% downpayment instead. But hey,it's just 30% of the price of the house you want. It's no big deal,right?

Burn baby burn

Daymn.......it started with Arkarna's So Little Time and then it's Burn Baby Burn by Ash and Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus. It takes both my husband and I back to our school days.

If you wanna buy a house,get more info before cutting a deal! Be familiar with the legal terms before throwing shit out at everyone. Which,by the way,would only make you look stupid at the end of the day.

There will be several parties involved. There will be paperwork. Shitloads of it. Read them before signing anything! Were these people raised in a barn?! And most of all,there will be payments involved! You're not buying groceries where you just carry your wallet and grab stuff and pay. Even if you do carry shitloads of cash around on you (i mean a whole lot of cash) there will still be paperwork.

So before you go around telling people to get shit done you'd better get yo shit straight. Black and white.

Islander

Shu's original plan was to go away on our anniversary but since weather was an issue,the hotel contacted him to have the trip postponed. His next best shot was our usual local island retreat. It was fun ^_^

The wisdom behind not going overseas was definitely the kids going a bit nuts :p

One day, we were just talking in the car........

It started with Youtube.
I was just saying that I find it weird how sometimes people can write or say or comment really nasty things about a person they don't even know. I mean really nasty things.
Like "You are so ugly" or "This face shouldn't be allowed in public"
I have no idea if anyone has any rights to be nasty to anyone at all especially to people whom they don't even know. At the back of my mind, I'm always thinking "Really? Like YOU are perfect? Where is your face on your channel?"
And the thing about platforms like Youtube is that YOU as the viewer have the power to not watch the video and carry on. Well, it's kinda the same with FB or Twitter or Snapchat or Instagram I guess.

Anywho,I was suddenly taken back to my school years way before any of these social media. Ok,not that long ago but let's just say there were just Friendster and MySpace. Ermm.......it's probably a whole other decade. But anyways,I remember a person or two who'd just be so bothered about what other people do.

They'd say things like"Did you know that I heard that this girl is sleeping around with guys?"

And I was like "Really?How is that any of my business?Did you see her doing those things?Are you even friends with her?" I had a huge problem to deal with called "Getting through SMKTTDI alive" and she was concerned about someone else's virginity?!

It's weird,really. It's like some people have problems with other people being born perfect. Well, I had issues too. Puberty did not hit me the right way either but it's not like I was gonna spend my time talking shit about those other pretty girls. They were pretty and they were lucky and I was happy for them. In fact, I was friends with some of them and they were nice people.

The truth is, I did not understand why pretty girls are often shown to be mean when in actuality, those girls who are not pretty and popular really are the mean ones.

So anyways,I just think it's weird. You don't know that person. What gives you the right to say anything about them at all?

What causes traffic jams?

At one point,the entire traffic is suddenly smooth and fast moving.

What caused it in the first place?

Massive,heavy trucks? Slowly,trying to make their way uphill?

Incompetent drivers who aren't aware of their car distances and speed?

Idiots who aren't awake enough on the road that get into accidents and stops right there in the middle of a heavy traffic trying to figure things out instead of getting out of the way to sort things out?

Weird,ain't it?

I don't usually have the time to rant anymore these days but when I do,it just has to be about driving!

I have a very unpopular view about towards women drivers. Nevermind that. The world has changed and gender just doesn't seem to prove me right anymore.

Let's just start at the very beginning....... (and when we get to the end,STOP)

When one buys a car, do they think "Oh,that is a nice car,I should buy it" or "Hurmm, I can afford that car" or "Would that be a suitable car for me?"

I find that most of the time, the drivers I encounter aren't fitted for the cars they drive. Not ergonomically. It annoys me coz there are blind spots and maneuvering and handling issues. It's like "WTF is wrong with you?!"

But ok, let's just say they are stuck with that car just coz........

Do they know anything about the car AT ALL?

What the car can do,how fast it can go (within a safe limit)..........

Are they aware if something is not right or not safe about the car they drive? Like tire pressures or conditions, water level in the radiator.........

Some cars are just not meant to be driven beyond a certain speed limit. You can tell by the manufacturer specs it comes with..........

YOU CAN TELL BY DRIVING THE DAMN CAR!

Let us NOT get into parents with little kiddies and cars! Crazy ass people letting their kids lose on their own at gas stations........WTF?! Do you wonder if they know what child lock is?

Anywho, I am beginning to think that most accidents occur on the road (used by regular people going back and forth on the same damn road every single day) is probably due to lack of attention towards their vehicles.

Psycho-kinetic Energy Meter

 Just for fun,I downloaded an app onto my phone. It's a Ghostbusters Simulator app.

What it does is there is a P.K.E. Meter at first and we are supposed to detect a ghost and then bust out the Proton Pack and eventually,whip out the trap.

Being me,I couldn't even detect the damn ghost with the P.K.E. Meter! Yusuf,on the other hand has been able to get several ghosts and obtain the Ecto-1 wallpaper.......in less than a minute!
